STARS HAD THEIR FIRST TRAINING AHEAD OF FRIDAY'S GAME

Senior National team the Black Stars of Ghana had their first training for the epic and must win first leg encounter against the red devils of Congo at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this afternoon.

The team arrived at the stadium at exactly 4pm. All the technical team members lead by coach Akwasi Appiah were present with the exception of the second assistant, Coach Maxwell Konadu who is preparing the Black Stars B for the upcoming WAFU tournament.

22 out of the 24 players invited were present at training today. The two omission were defender Lumor and striker Dwamena.

Two players out of the 22 present couldn't had the normal training session with the team. Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah had their personal training. The training lasted for only 2hours.

Present at the training were former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars player Wilberforce Mfum, Executive committee member of the GFA Mr Samuel Opoku Nti and the GFA communications director Ibrahim Saani Daara were all present.

Many football loving fans were also there to support and encourage the team.
